I have hooked up the RS150B to my new PS Audio DirectStream DAC MK2 and have noticed that the USB connection works flawlessly but the I2S connection inverts phase. I would like to be able to use I2S since this is the preferred connection to the DAC. I have a DVI HDMI adapter, Nordost Heimdall 2 HDMI cable that works perfectly with other sources and I have connected to the "A" configuration as recommended via the remote menu.
Is there a work around for this issue? The manual does not address it.
I had the same issue with exact same equipment. PS Audio provided a firmware update to resolve this issue. Also, unlike the DSD Mk1, there is no performance difference between using the USB or HDMI I2S connection methods with the MK2. I now am using the USB connection since quality cable choices are much better.
