I recently Factory reset my RS250a due to some problem with Rose applications. 3PP apps like Tidal and Qobuz were working fine.
After factory reset, I now cannot connect with the Rose Server. I keep getting the error message; "Rose Connection Server failed". The Device Version I see is 4.4 I believe a newer version is available but it doesn't let me update. It says that I am at the latest. Is my OTA Operations be at update.roseaudio.kr ? I am living in USA.
Obviously my Ethernet connection is working and Tidal/Qobuz are still working.
Any other thing you could think what is the problem?
Your symptoms are strange.
The message "Rose Connection Server failed" only appears when Rose is not connected to Ethernet or Wi-Fi. But it's strange that Tidal or Qobuz works normally.
If you still haven't updated your rose device to the latest version, please send an email to eunseong96@citech.kr to request an update file.
Then I will deliver the RS250a update file to your mail.
I have a similar issue as Larry123. RS150B displayed “Rose Server Connection Failed.” The unit is connected via Ethernet and/or Wi-Fi. Both connections displayed the same error message. However, Tidal is connected and I’m able to play selected tracks which means that Ethernet/WiFi connections are connected correctly. RoseTube and other Rose selections continue to display the same error message. Oddly, when using the hot spot via the iPhone 13, the RS150B connects successfully and I am able to connect to RoseTube and like services.
Hifi Rose support has been very responsive and helping to troubleshoot and still pending as of this post. After resetting modem, router, disconnecting power, factory reset, etc…still no resolution. Firmware is current version 4.5x.
All my home devices work flawlessly with Router Wi-Fi and Ethernet. No issues. And with RS150B able to play subscribed Tidal tracks, that means Ethernet/WiFi works and appears RS150B is the culprit refusing to recognize Ethernet/WiFi even though it’s connected.
Hoping HiFi Rose can identify the main issue as other users may be experiencing as well.
Turns out Internet Security has monitoring on router. Turned it off and RSB150B was able to connect with Rose URL in Korea. No more issues. Thank you Hifi Rose Support!!!
I have the some problem. I use Rose150B for studio(testing music on other HIEND system) and from studio system I normaly connect to Rose and copy files to SSD !
So, internet works!
