RS150 supports ALAC format music files. However, ROSE do not support Apple Music yet.
Apple Music is difficult to in-app as Apple does not yet support in-app libraries.
It seems like that because Apple supports Airplay.
Also, it is unlikely that Apple’s policy will change easily.
It’s hard to tell for sure what will happen.
However, as many users wish, we will proceed with technical review as much as possible.
More details will be available when it is released.
This is actually not 100% correct, Sonos has it and has had it for many years. To play hi res tracks on RS 150
you are ruling Apple Music customers out, this is a very big deal for you I would assume
I know BlueSound use this same argument and I still can't understand how Sonos have made this work, but not these other brands.
I have a BlueSound atm but was looking to change and the criteria would be Apple Music integration, but it seems I just have to stay with BlueSound and Airplay
This limitation appears to be more about the version of Android that the Rose is built upon. I use Apple HiRes with no issues on my Android phone with headphones daily.
How will the 150 stream ALAC in a lossless format with IOS 14.6? Also will Apple Music display video simultaneously via eArc?
