On the RS 250, would there be any differences in sound quality, accessibility, cache speed,, etc., when installing and using an internal 4tb SSD vs using an external, portable SSD via the USB 3.0 input?

Hello Esteban

Under the same sound conditions, It sounds better that the musics you put on the SSD.
Most of the electronic engineering or software specialists are not accepted.

Hello, and thank you for the answer. I am not sure I understand it correctly, however. My question is about this two scenarios / set-ups:

Option 1) 4TB portable Sandisk SSD connected to the back USB 3.0 port via a USB C to USB B cable.

Option 2) 4TB internal SSD.

Which one would be best? Or would they both be the same?

Hello @Esteban

In theory, both are the same.
However, since Option 2 is stable in power supply, there may be slight differences in sound quality or transmission speed.
